Piece Title: Fragments
Overview:
Researching sexual violence was uncomfortable and challenging. But since I've been learning that my fears must be faced one by one with great serenity, the time has come for this MAJOR fear.Things only a contest can do for you.
While researching, I observed my feelings, sensations and from there, the piece was born. The stages were emerging in my thoughts, everything flowed smoothly and I was surprised by the great feeling of calm when I finished it.
It was built day after day, at my own pace, according to each suggested stage and, on purpose, I kept its rusticity.
It represents being fragmented and trying to start life over again: putting the “shards” together and, little by little, seeking inner peace.
